D. 202 hires, promotes several building, district administrators

Amber Briddick Ashley Meyers Jason Stanley Joe Schertz Kim Williams Roxanne Ross  

District 202 has hired and promoted several building and district-level administrators with the new school year starting August 31, 2020.

  • Plainfield High School – Central Campus Special Education Administrator Joseph Schertz will serve this year as the school’s associate principal. He replaces Chris Chlebek, who is now the PHSCC principal.

Schertz served as a special education teacher at PHSCC from 2004-13, then was named special education administrator in 2014.

  • PHSCC Dean of Students Amber Briddick will replace Schertz as the PHSCC special education administrator.

Briddick started with District 202 in 2005 as a special education teacher at Creekside Elementary School, then served in the same role at Eagle Pointe Elementary School from 2006-2015, and at PHSCC from 2015-2018. She started as Dean of Students in 2018.

  • Plainfield North High School Special Education Administrator Jason Stanley will serve this year as the district director of private placements in the Student Services department. He replaces Dee Graves in that role, with Graves retiring in September.

Stanley served as a special education teacher from 2007-2011 at PNHS before starting his current administrative role.

  • Ashley Meyers, district elementary special education administrator for the Blue House schools will serve this year as the new Special Education Administrator at PNHS. She will replace Stanley in that role.

Meyers started her education career in 2003 as an elementary special education resource teacher in Batavia. She served as a special education teacher at Aux Sable Middle School from 2006-2010. Meyers worked as a special education teacher and administrator for several area districts from 2010-2018 before returning to District 202 in her current role.

  • Roxanne Ross, district elementary special education administrator for the Red House schools will serve this year as the new Special Education Administrator at Plainfield East High School. She replaces Katie Wade in that position.

Ross worked as a school social worker from 2002-2007 in Bellwood District 88, then from 2007-2012 as assistant principal for the Proviso Area for Exceptional Children (PAEC) special education cooperative in Maywood. She worked from 2012-2016 as the PAEC principal.

  • Finally, Glenview District 34 Assistant Principal for Student Services Kim Williams will serve this year as the elementary special education administrator for the Red House schools. She replaces Ross in that role.

Williams worked from 1998-2016  as a general and special education teacher in Indian Prairie District 204, and from 2016-2017 as a Special Education Coordinator in Oswego District 308. She moved to her current role in 2017.
