District 202 approves two elementary assistant principals

The District 202 Board of Education on June 26, 2017 approved hiring two new elementary school assistant principals for the 2017-18 school year.


Katie Bialek is the new assistant principal at Meadow View Elementary School. She replaces Heather Whistler who will serve as principal at Grand Prairie Elementary School next year.


Bialak started her education career in 2004 as a teacher for hard of hearing students in the Chicago Public School system.


She also has served a special education supervisor for Elgin School District Unit 46 and most recently was an Assistant Director of Student Services in Naperville School District 203.


The board also approved Lisa Lipinski as the new assistant principal at Wesmere Elementary School.


Lipinski has worked at John F. Kennedy Middle School since 2007 as a sixth grade social studies, math and language arts teacher, site supervisor and most recently as acting Dean of Students.


She started her education career in 1993 in Pontiac Township as a business education teacher.


Lipinski came to District 202 in 2006 as a Career and Technical Education tutor at Plainfield North High School.
