CLASS of 2020! - Be Sure to Schedule Your College Planning Conference! - Winter/Spring 2019
Current juniors and their parents are invited to schedule an individual College Planning Conference. Appointments will begin after November 15, 2018.  Please complete this FORM to schedule an appointment.  If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Koziol (College and Career Counselor) at  The topics covered during the meeting will include:

  • A review of the high school transcript and academic performance
  • An overview of the college research and application timeline
  • Tips and strategies to employ during the research and application process
  • An overview of the financial aid and scholarship processes
  • Standardized testing requirements
  • How to develop the college list and select a major
  • How to use Naviance and other resources in the research and application process

College and Career Center Information

The College and Career Center (Room 300) is open Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is available as a resource for all 9-12th grade students. Students can request an individual appointment with Ms. Koziol (College and Career Counselor). Parents can contact Ms. Koziol at or 815-609-8506 ext. # 7807. Ms. Koziol can assist with general application questions, college essays, building a college list, identifying majors, the scholarship search, financial aid, college interviews, and much more.

College Admission Representatives Scheduling High School Visits: PNHS invites college admission representatives to visit during the fall and spring semesters to meet with students. Visits take place in our College and Career Center and allow for a presentation format. Please go to the following link to schedule an appointment:

Military Representatives Scheduling High School Visits: PNHS invites military representatives to schedule lunchroom visits throughout the year and one classroom presentation each semester. To schedule a visit or if you have any questions please contact our student services administrative assistant, Karen Wareham (815) 254-6171 or Please make sure to schedule an appointment at least a week in advance.
