This course is intended to provide students with a sound understanding of the concepts in a first semester college course in the Calculus of elementary functions. Within the year, students will develop an understanding and skills associated with limits, techniques and applications of differentiation, the introduction to techniques of integration, and the applications of integration. In this course, we will be approaching concepts and topics graphically, numerically, analytically, and verbally. Technology will reinforce skills and concepts that we have covered and will enhance the curriculum. The primary purpose of this course is to prepare students for the AP Exam as well as future college math courses. Students will be required to work the problems from a graphical, numerical or analytical point of view and present their solutions both verbally and in writing. Students are expected to perform college level work.
