College & Career Center Calendar

Dates/plans are currently being finalized for the following activies which normally occur during second semester.  Details will be shared with students and parents as they become available.

SENIORS

• Joliet Junior College (JJC) College and Scholarship Application Workshop:  Thursday, February 18 from 12 - 1pm.  Our JJC College Admissions Rep will assist students in completing their college and scholarship applications.  Register here: https://forms.gle/o454849zXGNh8QK67.
• Senior Appointments:  Seniors (and their parents) can sign up for a meeting with Mrs. Hurst, College & Career Counselor, using Calendly to discuss post-graduation plans.  
• AP Exams:  May 3 - 14
• Graduation:  May 22

JUNIORS

• Scheduling:  Counselors, Teachers, and Administrators will be assisting juniors with selecting classes for the 2021-22 school year.  
• Group Guidance:  The College & Career Counselor met with juniors during their English classes in January/February.  
• Junior Appointments:  Juniors (and their parents) can sign up for a meeting with Mrs. Hurst, College & Career Counselor, using Calendly to discuss future goals and plans.  
• Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Awareness Night (virtual):  Tuesday, February 23 at 7pm
• College Planning Night for Juniors and Parents (virtual):  Thursday, March 4 at 7pm
• Virtual visits with College Admissions Reps:  Ongoing in March
• College Fairs:  TBA
• PSAT:  According to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) 2020-21 schedule of Illinois State Assessments, Juniors will take the SAT on April 13.
• AP Exams:  May 3 - 14

SOPHOMORES AND FRESHMEN

• Scheduling:  Counselors, Teachers, and Administrators will be assisting current 9th and 10th grade students with selecting classes for the 2021-22 school year.  
• Group Guidance:  The College & Career Counselor will be meeting with sophomores and freshmen during their English classes.  
• Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Awareness Night (virtual):  Tuesday, February 23 at 7pm
• Virtual visits with College Admissions Reps:  Ongoing in March
• AP Exams:  May 3 - 14

8TH GRADERS

• Scheduling:  Counselors, Teachers, and Administrators will be assisting current 8th grade students with selecting classes for the 2021-22 school year.
