Transcript Requests

Before a transcript can be requested, a Transcript Release Form must be signed by the student and parent and submitted to the school.  Please contact Student Services secretary Vicki Wagner if you have questions about the form. 

Once the Transcript Release Form is on file, please follow the detailed instructions below for requesting transcripts.  *Note that there are different ways to request transcripts whether you are a current PNHS students or a PNHS alumni.  The transcript request process may also vary depending on the purpose of the request.* 

Counselors will review transcript requests with senior students during Senior Group Guidance in early September.  Transcript requests will be processed after Labor Day. 

Current PNHS students for the 2024-2025 school year 

All current PNHS students must request their transcripts (official or unofficial) through Naviance.  There is no fee to process transcripts through Naviance.

How Do I Request An Official PNHS Transcript For College (Non-common App), Military, Or Trade School?  

  1. From the Naviance home screen, click Colleges I’m applying to.

  2. Click the blue + circle on the right side of the screen.

  3. Select which college you are applying to and note how you are submitting your application (directly to the institution or via Common App - this is necessary for Counselors to send your transcripts).

  4. Select Initial (through junior year) or Midyear (through sem 1 of senior year) transcript, depending on time of year.

  5. Click Add and Request Transcript when done.

**If the student is applying to schools through the Common Application, then follow steps below:

  1. From the Naviance home screen, click Colleges I’m applying to.

  2. You will see the schools from Common App uploaded into Naviance on this page.

  3. Click on +Request Transcripts, select Initial or Mid-year Transcript, select the schools, and submit the request. 

Note that official transcripts can not be sent by Counselors until approximately two weeks after grades are finalized each semester.  After the end of the school year, transcripts can not be sent until summer grades are processed (which is normally two weeks after the next school year begins).

How Do I Request An Official PNHS Mid-year Transcript If My College Requests It?

Some colleges will request a midyear transcript to show 7th semester grades.  If you need a midyear transcript, students must request the mid-year transcript through Naviance.  Counselors will send mid-year transcripts out through Naviance at the end of January after grades are processed.

How Do I Request An Official PNHS Transcript For Scholarships, Athletics, Personal Records, Or For Any Other Reason?  

  1. From the Naviance home screen, under the Colleges menu at the top, click  Manage Transcripts.

  2. Click the blue + circle and then click Other Transcript.

  3. Click the radial button for Initial (refers to current transcript), Midyear (available after Semester 1 grades are posted), or Final (after semester 2 grades are posted) and then fill out the other fields. 

    1. If you want the transcript mailed, enter mailing address.

    2. If you want the transcript emailed to you in a pdf, enter that request plus your email address in the Notes section.

    3. If you want to pick up a hard copy, indicate how many copies you need and when/where you want to pick them up (the Student Services Office is preferable).

  4. Enter any additional information in the Notes section.

  5. Click Request and Submit when done.

Note that we will process these requests as quickly as possible, but it could take up to 3 business days.

How do I request official transcripts for Joliet Junior College (JJC) dual credit courses?

Transcripts showing proof of JJC credits earned from dual credit courses should be requested after grades are posted in myJJC.  JJC dual credit course transcripts can be requested using JJC's Transcript Ordering Service.

Can I use SENDedu to send my transcripts?

PNHS only uses Naviance to send transcripts for current students.  We can NOT send transcripts through SENDedu.

Can I use Parchment to send my transcripts?

PNHS only uses Naviance to send transcripts for current students.  PNHS does use Parchment to send transcripts for alumni, but NOT for current students. 

PNHS alumni and former PNHS students

PNHS alumni and former PNHS students who need a transcript for a college or for personal use should request a copy through Parchment, a third-party company.  Parchment charges a fee to process transcripts and requires a credit card for payment.  Each student will have to create a "New Learner" account with Parchment.
